The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

“Smell the rose. Smell the coffee. Whatever it is that makes you happy.”- Rita Moreno

Approaching the age of 19 is all fun and games until you start realizing that the fun phrase, “adulthood” is just around the corner. Adulting, from what I know, is a mix of crazy emotions, stress, financial stability, and basically to simplify that… figuring out how to get your shit together.

Trying to adult is already difficult, but sadly many people my age have more weights on their shoulders they have to balance while making this transition. Here, I will be focusing more on mental illnesses because that is one of my “weights”. Now yes, I know everyone has their own things, but I am going to talk about things I have experienced on hand.  At the end of the day, we all strive for happiness and success when growing up. When I say success I personally do not mean money; Success can simply be achieving a goal, doing things that make you happy, taking care of yourself, and many many other things… it all really depends on the person. Everyone’s happiness and idea of success is unique to them personally. These are typically created around the person’s traits and goals. Realizing this will help get you on the track of getting your life, slowly shall I say, pieced together. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE… REALLY.

If you think you are on the right track or consider yourself an “adult,” I recommend you steer clear because you will witness some (or a lot) of mistakes. I am new to this! If you seem to be in my boat, than welcome! Please enjoy the version of life through my eyes and feel free to interact. WARNING: I am a hot mess so my “adulting” is still in progress.

P.S. Roses have started to hit a soft spot for me. A rose symbolizes strength, new beginnings, and independence. Everything I believe one needs to start this journey.

Beware the Rose♥
